Tools for the road ahead

This is the chruch that I grew up in and my family still attends today.I was brought up Welsh Baptist and was a devout christian. As a teenager I went to a Southern Baptist Church. I attended Sunday School and Church Services every Sunday without missing one. Wednesday's I attended Prayer services. Our church had a bus that would come and pick us up and then drop us off after services. The best thing about this was that my parent's didn't have to take us and then come and get us. They didn't go to Church or Sunday School. I don't know why, they just didn't. My sister and I did, faithfully. I was baptised and married to my High-school Sweetheart.there. I loved God and Jesus and everything that was taught about life and how to live it from the Bible . I was also taught fear the Lord God (and Satan and evil

that goes long with those things. I was safe and content in all those things and really thought that all the answers to any questions that I had ever had or would have were located in the "Good Book", the Bible. Why wouldn't it be? Many people lived that way and the stories told in the Bible from many people were great ones and they persevered by their God. All throughout the Bible people have had afflictions, troubled lives, hope and charity and love from their family and friends and something they call God who takes care of everything. Then in the new testament there is one person whom tells us all how to live and that is the Blessed Jesus. It is told that Jesus is the savior of the world and all Christians and the forgiver of sins. He also goes to tell us that everything in the Old Testament is no more and that he came to show us a better way through his life, death and resurrection.

I still believe in Jesus and what he has to say to us if and when we choose to listen. He does tell us that there are some that are hard-hearted or hard of hearing and will not see what is right in front of them. Religions tell you that he spoke in parables. I shall call them riddles for you need to know how to decipher them to bring the meaning into your own life.

...and so I prayed

I prayed for answers to all my questions and he helped me through them.

When I was about 14 years old a strange thing happened to me. We had an above ground pool in the back yard of our house where I grew up. Later on my parent's got an in-ground pool. We had a 6 foot fence around it because that was the law to protect any children from getting in and drowning. I was just floating in an inner tube enjoying the cool water around me. No one else was around and my family were in the house. Somehow I flipped over on the inner-tube and my butt was stuck in it and I couldn't get out of it. It felt like someone had pushed me over. I mean it is hard to flip over an inner-tube when it is almost bigger than the person whom is sitting in it. I was starting to panic because I didn't like going under water and I only knew how to do the Doggy Paddle. I noticed that I wasn't in the water by myself anymore. It wasn't any of my family. I don't know who it was, but they got me unstuck from the inner tube and I stood up in the water.
Some other things were happening too that I really didn't pay much attention too. I had a friend who went to school with me. She went to a different church and I attended her Church services a few times. She invited me to a slumber party and I got to go. While there we had a thing called a Levitation. It was pretty neat! I never heard of this or anything. There were about 5 of us and we all put just two fingers under this other girl and we concentrated on her rising to the ceiling. I didn't know what it was and frankly didn't concentrate too hard. Amazing to me she rose a couple of feet into the air. No strings and our hands were still on the floor. I just had to share this with you all.
This was also the time in my life that I became real close to animals and tried to save all of them. My father caught and killed a mommy mouse in our basement and come to find out she had a litter. Well only one survived long enough that I thought I could help it. So I got a shoe box and made a nest out of cotton balls and warmed some milk up and tried to get it to suckle on the milk-soaked cotton ball. The baby mouse was just too young and didn't know how to even suckle let alone drink cow's milk. It didn't survive. That was the start of my live with animals and the trust they seek in me.

un-inviting her. That was one of the hardest things that I had ever had to do. She was my best friend and I had to un-invite her. Like I said earlier I truly believed that my friend had a big notion that she was going to be the only black girl there. We went to the same school, had the same friends and I think she too didn't see color as an excuse to judge someone.

All The Answers Are Supposed To Be In The Bible

You will get some here but most from listening to your innerself--Jesus

So by this time I had been indoctrinated in the Church, God, Jesus Christ and Satan. I fear the Lord God enough to know that if I did anything wrong or against those Ten Commandments that I was going to go right to Hell. No stopping Go or collecting my dues or even the chance of getting a pardon. As far as I knew then The first question God asks you is what religion you are. By the way My Uncle, who calls me Princess, is the Deacon of the church that I was brought up in where I was born, not the church that I was baptized or married in. He has been a Deacon there for many years. My grandfather on my Mom's side laid the stonework and the foundation for that church. I have deep roots there as you can see.
